Programs and Internships

At Mind On Civic, we’re building opportunities for young people to learn, lead, and create change through hands-on, impactful programs and internships.

Our year-round blog writing internship gives high school students the chance to publish their work on civic issues, social justice, mental health, and education. This paid internship provides mentorship, skill-building, and exposure to real-world writing and advocacy. Interns will gain experience creating content, researching key issues, and learning how their voice can make a difference in the world.

In addition to our blog internship, we offer summer programs and workshops that bring together Gen Z’s brightest thinkers to dive deep into topics that matter most. Through these initiatives, we are not only creating change in our communities but empowering the next generation of leaders.

Summer Programs

In Summer 2025, Mind On Civic is bringing civic education off the page and into the real world. We are launching student-led programs that help Gen Z learn, speak, and take action on the issues shaping our lives. From education equity and mental health to economic literacy and justice in our communities, these programs will offer space to explore real change.

Whether through hands-on workshops, interactive lectures, or collaborative projects, the goal is simple. We want students to understand the system and feel confident enough to challenge it.

(Can also recieve volunteer hours!)

A hands-on summer workshop where students identify a local issue, research the policies behind it, and propose a solution.

Gen Z Civic Lab (1-2 Week Program)

A chance for students to help plan and moderate live or virtual sessions featuring guest speakers on topics like education, equity, and mental health.

Civic Speaker Series Host Team

A short writing mentorship program where students write their own op-ed or personal blog post for publication on Mind On Civic.

Mind On Civic Summer Writing Fellows

A small group of students who help promote Mind On Civic posts, workshops, and summer events through schools, clubs, and youth orgs.

Internships

At Mind On Civic, we offer internships that empower students to dive deep into real-world issues and gain hands-on experience in writing, advocacy, and civic engagement. Our internships provide the perfect opportunity for passionate high school students to enhance their skills, build a professional portfolio, and contribute meaningfully to youth-led initiatives.
